Tanis Dagert: Vancouver Island, BC, Canada; I am a healthy community development specialist who has worked with non-profit, non-governmental, health, First Nations, academic and government stakeholders to make communities healthier places to live, work and play... for everyone. My theoretical and action-oriented approaches include asset-based community development, sustainable livlihoods, social determinants of health and the UN sustainable development goals. I have worked on initiatives related to skills training, community enhancement, network building, community capacity building, research, knowledge mobilization, digital story-telling, evaluation, grant making, and community engagement. B.A.Communications/ Kinesiology, MEd Education, PGD International Management. Trained in the Art of Hosting, Asset Based Community Development, Group Facilitation, Public Policy, Project Management, Community Based Research and Public Participation. Workshop and Project Leader on any of the above. I enjoy challenging and meaningful work that contributes to the greater good / has impact.
